COOPERATIVE SECRETARY
Mr. Daniel Kitonga Maanzo was born 35 years ago. He studied Law at the University of Nairobi. He started his career as a Lecturer of Commercial Law at the Kenya Polytechnic in Nairobi. He is an active member of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK), Legal adviser and representative of various companies & political parties and generally practiced law in Commercial and Civil matters in the Republic of Kenya. He is the founder partner M/S MAANZO & CO. ADVOCATES. Mr. Maanzo joined the civil service in March 2008 when he was appointed Secretary of Sports in the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. At the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports he c o-ordinated the general implementation review of the Sports Policy, promoted and co-ordinated grass-root, national and international sports programmes, ensured good governance and accountability in the use of resources in national sports organizations, mobilized and encouraged Kenyans to participate in sports. He was appointed Secretary for Co-operative Development- in December 2008. At the Ministry of Cooperative Development and Marketing Mr. Maanzo is charged with the responsibility of coordinating Cooperative Policy and Implementation, Cooperative Governance, Cooperative College and Promotion of Cooperatives.
