President Mwai Kibaki inspects Chinga milk plant in Othaya Location |

During a tour of Chinga location in his Othaya constituency on February 25, 2013 where he inspected various development projects, President Mwai Kibaki inspected the ongoing works on Chinga milk plant. The president heard that the project which has so far used up Kshs 7.9 million had received Kshs 4 million of that mount from the local CDF to construct amilk processing area, offices and stores. The project committee told the president that the store now requires a total of Kshs 27.5 million to install a cooling tank at a cost of Kshs 10 million, a collection van costing Kshs 6 million, a milk delivery tanker valued at Kshs 10 million and water storage tanks and connections costing Kshs 1.5 million. |

 A workshop on devolution strategy for the National Co-operative Housing Union (NACHU) and the County Co-operative Commissioners was held in Nakuru on the 5th December 2012. The workshop aimed at developing strategies where the co-operative movement and in particular, NACHU, and the Government through the County Co-operative Commissioners could work in partnership under the devolved system of Government.
